Constanze Friend and Thomas Fellow have long since discovered their own unique language that surprises and thrills the audience, focusing on the core of the songs, the essence of the music. That is why the uncountable forms and colors of April are just the right theme for their new album.
The music of Friend `n Fellow effortlessly unifies what seems to be opposites. Blues? Jazz? Soul? Music that is often pegged to be separate ends up together with Friend `n Fellow. They play with the timbres of soul, the intensity of blues and the freedom of jazz. And there is always ample room for listening.

Beijing Underground is the debut-album by the Anton Mangold Quartett. The band is based in Germany and the CD-release is under the Classic/Crossover/Jazz Label Dr. Heart Music. A vast musical spectrum is embraced by the young musicians:
From hard-swinging straight-ahead Jazz, like the title track Beijing Underground, to explorations of various kinds of folk music, like the hauntingly beautiful Going West, to Heavenly Peace, which is a soulful ballad with vibrant harmonies. In Behai Park West the band takes off on a smoothly grooving theme featuring Zhihan Xu on guitar, while being supported with vocals - sung gracefully by the bands bass-player. In Frustration the band creates stunning structures build out of emotions and sincere improvisation.
The Band was formed in 2014 by Anton Mangold, Felix Schneider, Theodor Spannnagel and Zhitong Xu. Every single one of them of them has found their own unique voices in the german Jazz scene. They share the same vision: To play Jazz energetically, spontaneously and honestly. The musicians are innovative and open-minded, embracing and indulging themselves in all kinds of musical genres. To name only a few: world-music, hip-hop and contemporary classical music. This openness gives their musical journey a distinct and individual character.

Enso - after a circular symbol from Japanese calligraphy, Frank Delle names the album, in which he brings the quick agility of his trio to the common denominator of the NDR Big Band. Enso stands for the universe, for strength and elegance as well as for the balance between irregularity and symmetry - you can easily recognize the aesthetic idea in this language picture: how big and small merge, strength in delicacy, flexibility in color splendor results from this the polarity between the big band, a powerhouse of musical colors, and the trio as the most fluid form of interaction, the musical world of the passionate saxophonist Frank Delle. By putting the extreme poles of his musical world under tension, he makes himself known as an individualist with his own vision.
While working as a saxophonist in the NDR big band week after week - surrounded by first-class music colleagues - working on new material at the highest musical level and in increasingly complex arrangements that continue the continuum of jazz history, Frank Delle enjoys in his trio with the Cologne team Robert Landfermann on double bass and Jonas Burgwinkel on drums, the opportunity to break open the structures of the music and spin it out in all possible directions. With these two musicians, who represent something like the gold standard for open-pore interplay in German jazz, he celebrates the high school of spontaneous interaction and improvisation without a safety net.
In order to outline a musical space in which the two spheres vibrate together, Frank Delle chose Geir Lysne, the musical director of the NDR Big Band, as an ideal partner and arranger. Lysne is known for being able to convert contrasts like that between the overwhelming force and color splendor of the large format and the fragile mobility of the trio into dynamic energy and imaginatively luminous timbres like no other.
Delle, born 1966 and raised in Bremerhaven, is a musician who knows how to combine passion and pragmatism without harming either side. The decision to strive for a professional position as a trained musical instrument dealer was pragmatic, the passionate urge to get closer to the content of the music. He studied saxophone in Hamburg and earned an excellent reputation as a saxophonist who is as playful and flexible as he is responsive and expressive, with the urge to dig deeper into music. For more than 20 years he has been playing in the NDR Bigband, one of the world's most famous radio big bands for public service broadcasting in Germany.

On their new CD "FREE RIDE", HANDS ON STRINGS celebrate their breathtaking blend of world music, concert music and jazz, revealing unbridled joy of playing and boundless fantasy.

Stephan Bormann is among the most versatile German guitarists. Following countless CD releases, among others with the likes of Cristin Claas Trio and Hands On Strings, he now presents Over The Years.
His inner closeness to the sounds and rhythms from the U.S., Scandinavia, Africa and Brazil reveal him as a musical world traveler – at home in many styles and familiar with the various facets of the instrument.
The musical aesthetics of a finger stylist can be found in his unique arrangements, along with the approach of a jazz musician, who gives every piece perpetual freshness by allowing room for improvisation.
The wide diversity of possibilities for expression with the instrument sparked his desire to not only play on the widely-known nylon or steel string guitar, but also exotic aliquot, baritone and octave guitars.

The duo Friend 'N Fellow had released a total of 6 CDs between 1995 and 2003, including the successful RUF RECORDS debut Home (which also contains a song together with their musical supporter Luther Allison) and the successor album Purple Rose. In the meantime, they became the favorites of the HiFi scene with their intense reduction to the essentials and their sound. Their reputation as outstanding live musicians with concerts in many countries over the world was documented with the double album Live. After some of the albums of these early years were not available anymore, their new label DOCTOR HEART MUSIC decided to release a CD-Box with all 6 CDs.
For the first time, Fairy Godmother will also be available in stores - an album that the two musicians have sold exclusively at their concerts. A booklet with many photos, texts of their songs and personal statements completes this CD box. The first stage of her journey to a much-respected crossover between jazz, blues and pop.
Chen Shen & Anton Mangold

The Duo was formed in 2014 and released their first album „Suite en Duo“ (Dr Heart Music) in 2019.
They are mainly playing impressionistic french chamber music like the title track „Suite en Duo“ by Jean Cras or „Bilitis“ (arranged for harp and flute) by Claude Debussy. The famous Sonata in B minor by J.S. Bach is also adapted for harp and flute as well as the „Deux Romances“ by Xavier Leroux. The last piece „Nocturne“ written by J.L. Tolou in collaboration with J. Nadermann again shows virtuosity by both Shen and Mangold and is a good example of classical french music from the early 19th century.
As a solo piece Mangold is playing Ravels „Prélude in A-moll“ and „Pavane pour une infante défunte“. Shen chooses „Air de Bénigne de Bacilly“ by Jaques-Martin Hotteterre, a piece for solo transverse flute.
