„02:10 The Early Years“ ist eine Sammlung von Songs, die ich aus den frühen Kapiteln meiner Karriere handverlesen habe. Diese Zusammenstellung enthält Songs von sechs Studioalben: von meinen allerersten Aufnahmen im Jahr 2002 bis zum Ende des Jahrzehnts im Jahr 2010.
Mein Vater und ich gründeten 1999 gemeinsam die Band unter dem Namen RedEye Band, wobei meine Mutter Heather als unsere Managerin fungierte. Mit meinem Freund und Nachbarn Andy Burt am Schlagzeug und meinem Vater Ken am Bass spielten wir in jedem Pub, Festival, Stadtfest, Sommerfest und Hochzeit, die uns buchten! Als mein erstes Album, Watching You, veröffentlicht wurde, spielten wir über 200 Shows im Jahr.
Rückblickend scheint es, als wäre alles in einem früheren Leben passiert, wie es so oft der Fall ist. Es fühlt sich an, als wäre es schon lange her, diese frühen Alben zu erstellen, und sie dienen perfekt als Momentaufnahmen jeder Phase unserer musikalischen Entwicklung. Berufsmusiker zu werden, war mein Traum – ein Traum, den ich mit zwanzig Jahren hatte. Das Leben eines tourenden Künstlers ist voller Höhen und Tiefen, Hindernissen und Herausforderungen, Lob und Kritik und ständiger Selbstverbesserung, um sich selbst und vor allem seinem Publikum gerecht zu werden. Es ist ein Leben, das ich wirklich liebe, und ein Weg, auf den ich sehr stolz und dankbar bin, heute, einundzwanzig Jahre nach diesem ersten Album.
Die Möglichkeit, eine Sammlung meiner frühen Arbeiten zusammenzustellen, hätte ich mir vor so langer Zeit nicht vorstellen können. Die Auswahl der hier beinhalteten Tracks war wie ein Wiedersehen mit alten Freunden: Jeder von ihnen bringt Erinnerungen zurück! Von unserem ersten Van (einem roten Ex-Postbus, den wir gelb gestrichen haben) bis hin zu den Lachern, Herausforderungen und Zielen, die wir unterwegs verfolgten… Ich erinnere mich an alles und jede schöne Erinnerung zaubert mir ein Lächeln ins Gesicht. Durch diese frühen Alben und die langen, prägenden Jahre mit Gigs und Tourneen, Aufnahmesessions, Reisen und Schreiben habe ich mein Handwerk verfeinert – etwas, an dem ich nie aufgehört habe, unermüdlich zu arbeiten. Ich hoffe aufrichtig, dass Ihnen das gefällt, was wir hier zusammengestellt haben, es hat viel Spaß gemacht.

Der hervorragende Gitarrist, Sänger und Songwriter, Pee Wee Crayton war einer der phantasievollsten Gitarristen der Nachkriegszeit, bevor der Rock'n'Roll Amerika im Sturm eroberte. Das Album enthält frühere Modern-Aufnahmen, von denen einige bis 1948 zurück gehen. Eine großartige Mischung aus emotionalem Blues, Jump Tunes, elektrisierenden Boogies und gefühlvollen Balladen.

Das war vielleicht eine Party! Vier Abende lang, vom 4.bis zum 7.April 2018, wurden die legendären Birthday Bash-Konzerte im Wiener Metropol mitgeschnitten. Hans Theessink, großartiger Sänger, Songwriter und virtuoser Gitarrist, feierte seinen 70er und viele musikalische Freunde hatten es sich nicht nehmen lassen, ihm gebührend zu gratulieren. Aus ganz Europa und Nord-Amerika kamen sie angereist und boten ein wahres musikalisches Feuerwerk. Die Atmosphäre in dem allabendlich ausverkauften Haus war, nicht zuletzt auch der begeisterten Fans – also euch - wegen, einmalig.

They have been on the stage for over 38 years, have performed on more than 4,000 occasions in 14 countries and have released more than 26 albums – these figures highlight the impressive achievements of the Blues Company and demonstrate that the musicians gathered around the mastermind Todor Todorovic have had an enormous influence on the blues in Germany. However, far more impressive than the statistics is the manner in which Todorovic, known by everyone simply as “Tosho”, celebrates the blues with his buddies on stage. Tosho lets the guitar fly with his pieces that bubble with elegance, while his unmistakeable voice gives the songs their distinctive expression.
The Blues Company has always been open-minded to new techniques. They were among the audiophile pioneers, who in the late 1980s brought out the first blues CDs, and later the first SACDs and 5.1 surround recordings - so we were the second Blues band in the world. But one thing was still missing in our releases: a live in the studio recording with an audience.
The trick with a Silent Concert is that visitors, unlike at normal concerts, do not appreciate the music through a PA, but through headphones. Thus, they are able to receive perfect stereo sound anywhere in the room and can even adjust the volume themselves. However, only a relatively small circle of people can experience this concert enjoyment. For technical reasons, the number of listeners is limited to a maximum of 100.
The auditorium was equipped with sofas, chairs, beanbag chairs and floor lamps, and the band did not play on a stage, but rather dispersed in the audience. The sound engineer was able to create an individual in-ear monitor mix at the highest tonal level for each of the musicians involved as well as for the stereo mix for the audience.
This culminated in the Blues Company presenting itself at ist very best: with crisp Chicago blues and gentle ballads, with crackling guitar solos and a blasting brass section, with many rock and soul additions, and with highlights from concerts past.
The audio recording literally vibrates with vivacity. For the band, as well as for the audience, this was a great, exciting, unforgettable experiment.

The Allison Burnside Express marks the first collaboration between two boundary-defying blues musicians from the USA, each of whom has successfully carried forth his respective family's musical tradition. BIG is the realization of a dream that has accompanied the British blues guitarist and singer Danny Bryant since the beginning of his career.
The dream of recording his songs live with a 9-piece big band was put into reality. The charismatic musician presented his songs to his audience at three exclusive shows in Germany and the Netherlands, supported by keyboards, bass, drums, rhythm guitar and a 4-piece brass section.
Danny Bryant performed songs of his latest three studio albums Hurricane, Temperature Rising and Blood Money, all re-arranged for a big band. Among were songs that were never been played live before, such as the title song of the 2014 album Temperature Rising”. Together with blues classics like the emotional As The Years Go Passing By (Otis Rush), the result is a high-tension mix of songs.
The concerts were recorded by Danny Bryant's producer Richard Hammerton, who was also responsible for the last three studio albums. The result is so brilliant that the album will be released in physical format as a double live CD and on vinyl on 21 April 2017. Danny will celebrate the release with three big-band shows in Belfast, Edinburgh and London at the end of April.
Danny: Recording this special live project has been a real labour of love for me. For a long time I have dreamed of hearing my songs placed in the context of a big band setting. Everyone gelled together so perfectly and the three shows that we recorded (the results of which you hold in your hands) were among some of the most enjoyable of my career so far. I can honestly say that I am more proud of this album than any project I have ever done.

Danny Bryant is pleased to announce the release of his highly anticipated new studio album “Blood Money” – released by Jazzhaus Records on Friday 29th January 2016.
His third album to be produced by Richard Hammerton, following in the footsteps of 2014’s Temperature Rising and 2012’s Hurricane, the new album features Danny collaborating with Walter Trout and Bernie Marsden on two tracks.
Says Bryant, “I wanted to make this album ever since I began my musical journey 20 years ago as a 15 year old boy who fell in love with his parent’s record collection.”
On Blood Money, Bryant set out to record an album that showed an introspective return to his roots and an appreciation of his blues influences, by paying homage, as he puts it “to all the different influences and flavours of this wonderful music that I have loved for many years.”

Particular tracks like ‘On the Rocks’ is a homage to the late great Albert Collins, ‘Holding All The Cards’ is a tribute to Jimmy Reed, while ‘Unchained’ harks back to vintage Albert King Stax recordings.
The title track, ‘Blood Money’, was a song that Bryant had on the fire for several years. He just needed the right time and the right collaborator to bring the song to life. This particular song was specifically written with Walter Trout in mind, who was Bryant’s guitar mentor when he had a chance meeting with him at a concert when he was only 14 years old.
“I wanted us to share the song with Walter,” says Bryant. “I am really thrilled that he agreed to play guitar on the track. I think his contribution is truly stunning.”
Another highlight of the Blood Money recording sessions was the contribution from Mr Bernie Marsden. One of Bryant’s all-time favourite guitarists and singer-songwriters, Bryant invited Marsden to record a special ballad that Bryant had written entitled ‘Just Won’t burn’. The song was recorded in one afternoon and during the recording, Bryant got the opportunity to play Marsden’s famous 1959 Les Paul -‘The Beast’.

Back to the evenings with friends when father used to take his guitar to play songs at house parties and jam sessions which filled the apartment with his smooth voice and enchanting sound. Back to the time when Ana learned about the secrets of blues, soul and rock. And so, overwhelmed by the beauty of the sound, decided for a musicians life.
Now, together united on a surprising CD produced by Jim Gaines (Stevie Ray Vaughn, Santana), Ana and Milton play and sing songs they used to play in the days before.
