Alfie Zappacosta began his career in the 1970s with the band Surrender. In 1983 he started his solo career, and the success of his debut album also won him the Juno Award for Most Promising Male Vocalist of the Year in 1984. His single Overload, featured in the movie Dirty Dancing, contributed to his international fame, for which he received an American Music Award.
Few recording artists deliver some of their finest work in the fifth decade of their career, but that is clearly the case with Saved, the new solo release from Alfie Zappacosta, the award-winning, platinum-selling Edmontonian with a deep catalogue now standing at 15 albums.
