From the power plant to your system

Before music sounds in your living room, electricity has traveled a long way. Electrical energy is generated in power plants – for example, by wind, water, sun, or fossil fuels – and transported to your home through an extensive network. To minimize transmission losses, electricity flows through high-voltage lines with up to 380,000 volts. Only after several steps in substations is the voltage reduced until finally 230 volts are available at your wall socket – ready to power your hi-fi system. But electricity does not remain untouched along the way: every cable, every transformer, and every junction is a potential source of interference. In addition, devices in your environment – household appliances, computers, photovoltaic systems, or charging stations – feed network distortions, high-frequency noise, or direct current components into the power grid. These disturbances reach your system, impair the power quality, and can audibly affect the music signal. Because sound does not start at the source – it begins at the socket. Those who pay attention to clean power supply lay the foundation for more silence, dynamics, and transparency in the soundstage.

Power grid distortions – invisible troublemakers

Hardly anyone operates their own power plant. When you connect your hi-fi system to a standard household outlet, you are part of the public power grid – shared with refrigerators, PCs, heat pumps, photovoltaic systems, or charging stations from your own home and your neighbors. All these devices inject disturbances: high-frequency noise, direct current components, voltage fluctuations – a spectrum of interference that can measurably and audibly affect your hi-fi chain. The built-in power supplies and circuits in your devices can absorb some of these influences, but not all. The rest settles like a veil over the music signal, reducing dynamics, detail, and spatial depth. Typical effects – such as flickering lights when turning on a hairdryer or crackling sounds from speakers when the refrigerator kicks in – show how omnipresent these disturbances are. Interference from the entire household also accumulates in the fuse box or at the outlet. Digital components are particularly sensitive – and it is precisely here, at the power source, that the true sound quality you experience is decided.

The right solution for every hi-fi system

With the AC-3200 power strip, you get a power supply specially designed for audiophile demands. The series includes three versions perfectly matched to different applications:

  • AC-3200 DC blocker: protects your hi-fi system from direct current components in the power grid, prevents transformer hum, and ensures symmetrical power supply – ideal for components with ring core transformers.
  • AC-3200 filter analog: the serial filter network (type I), where the load current is routed through coils, is ideal for analog devices such as amplifiers, preamps, or turntables. The coils offer high resistance to grid interference and reduce it selectively. This results in more silence and detail in the soundstage.
  • AC-3200 filter digital: the parallel filter network (type II), which diverts annoying interference frequencies to ground, is designed for digital components such as streamers, DACs, and network players. It filters high-frequency interference especially effectively without compromising the dynamics of your devices.

Each version of the AC-3200 is the result of consistent development and targeted sound optimization – for a listening experience that inspires.

Development and manufacturing in our workshop

The AC-3200 power strip is a true workshop product. From the initial idea through prototype construction to the final result, every component was completely developed by us. In our own cable workshop in Germany, we rely on the highest precision and craftsmanship. Every detail – from selecting components to assembly and final inspection – is in our hands. This ensures that every AC-3200 power strip meets our high standards for sound quality, reliability, and durability.

Safety at the highest level

Safety and quality are our top priorities. That’s why every single AC-3200 power strip undergoes a strict, CE-compliant electrical inspection in our workshop. This includes, among other tests, a protective conductor test (high-current test) and an insulation test (high-voltage test). Only when all tests are passed does the power strip leave our production. This way, you can be confident that every AC-3200 meets the highest standards not only in sound but also in safety.

Massive copper busbars – maximum conductivity

Inside the AC-3200, 16 mm² copper busbars ensure low-loss and stable power distribution. These massive busbars made of high-purity copper guarantee exceptional current-carrying capacity and minimize contact resistance. The result: your hi-fi system is reliably supplied with full power at all times – even during dynamic music passages and high volumes, the foundation remains stable. Thanks to the generously sized cross-sections, high currents are safely and evenly distributed to all connected components.

DC blocker against direct current and hum

Many household appliances and modern devices generate direct current components (DC offset) in the power grid. These can cause ring core transformers in hi-fi components to reach magnetic saturation. The consequences are hum noises, power loss, and reduced sound quality. The AC-3200 version with integrated DC blocker reliably filters out these direct current components and ensures your audio components receive symmetrical and interference-free power. This keeps your sound clear, powerful, and free from annoying hum.

  • Tested quality

Every AC-3200 leaves our workshop only after passing the individual inspection. For us, it matters that technology and performance are verifiable in everyday use – not just on paper.

  • The difference

The AC-3200 goes far beyond simple power strips: it specifically eliminates interference sources in the power grid and relies on high-quality materials as well as sophisticated filtering technology. This ensures a noticeably more stable and cleaner power supply for your hi-fi system.

  • Development with practical focus

We designed the AC-3200 to directly address typical interference sources in the power grid. Every detail is the result of our own measurements and practical experience.

Where does fine sound begin? Where does it end? These questions ring constantly in our ears. The truth is, various factors have a major impact on the sound quality produced by audio systems, and one of these factors is power supply. It is subject to fluctuations that vary depending on the location of your home (in a city or a rural environment). If we look at things from a purely physics perspective, the music produced by a loudspeaker is ultimately nothing more than domestic current converted into sound. This statement sounds almost too banal compared to the hi-fi jargon we are all accustomed to. Unfortunately, all too often we ignore where the sound actually comes from and the importance of having a stable power supply. A “clean” current is the raw material of fine sound, and our AC-4500 Power Station makes sure that this is what you get. The AC-4500 Power Station is available in several versions – from a basic model with one filter for all six sockets through to the top model that comes equipped with six separate filters, one for each socket. The models differ not only in the number of filters they are equipped with, but also in the combination of filter types they provide – type I (for analog devices) and type II (for digital devices). The AC-4500 Power Station was developed completely in-house, and each unit is manufactured in the company’s own facility. Units subsequently undergoes rigorous testing with documentation of the results. Because safety is paramount for this type of unit, we have also arranged for an accredited laboratory to verify CE/CB conformity. The Power Station’s sensitive technology is protected by a robust metal housing made of 2 mm-thick galvanized sheet steel. It has an elegant front panel made of brushed aluminum. The interior of the housing is designed so that the socket groups are shielded from one another, and any interference stemming from the connected devices is unable to propagate. Soundscapes are created by the dynamics in the music. To exploit the full potential of your high-end audio components, you need a reliable power pipeline that provides your components with the power peaks with as little delay and loss as possible. This is where the AC-1205 AIR mains connection cable comes into play. Our innovative AIR technology has already caused a sensation in the high-end scene and now also forms the architectural basis for the AC-1205 AIR mains cable. Using specially developed clips, the individual conductors are held at fixed distances and insulated from each other by an "air dielectric". This reduces both capacitive and inductive interference and ensures a smooth flow of energy. The multicore design of the AC-1205 AIR neutralizes the magnetic interference and magnetic fields generated by current peaks and minimizes the line inductance. In addition, the large number of individual wires reduces the skin effect that occurs at high frequencies. Splitting the current across many cores not only increases the usable conductor cross-section, but also increases the overall cross-section of the cable. The result is a reliable power supply, even in the most demanding passages, which allows your sound system to develop its full potential. To minimize electromagnetic interference fields, the AIR cables are shielded with a dense braid of tinned copper. This not only protects your audio components, but also neighboring cables from unwanted interference caused by the high current peaks in the power cable. The in-akustik High End AC-1205 AIR mains cable is an outstanding energy pipeline for perfect audiophile sounds. It eliminates unwanted effects and makes a not insignificant contribution to the most authentic music reproduction possible. Click here and discover the exciting details
